A map of the world’s live cameras. Move the map, find a point, press it, and see that place right now.

Where the cameras come from

Every camera on the map is published by its own operator: road and transport authorities, geological surveys, national parks, towns, and the lodges, harbours and observatories that run them. The bright ringed dots are official live streams, played in the operator’s own embedded player. The fainter dots are open-data cameras, shown as their publishers release them.

We never copy or store video. Pictures and players load straight from each operator, and every camera links back to its official source. Each one is checked against its publisher’s terms before it appears. Live streams are re-checked every 15 minutes, and a stream that stops leaves the map.

Privacy

There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no cookies of our own. The view you are looking at is kept in the page address so that it can be shared.

When you open a camera, your browser loads its picture or player directly from the camera’s operator, which sees your request as it would on its own site. Live streams use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap. Our server keeps ordinary access logs for operation and security, and deletes them on rotation.

Messages sent through the form below are used only to answer them, and are deleted after six months.
